What We Store (Locally Only)
PriceFlow stores the following data exclusively in your browser using Chrome's local storage API. This data never leaves your device:
- URLs of product pages you choose to track
- Price data and history for those products
- Your alert preferences (enabled/disabled, threshold percentage)
- Your Pro license key (if you have one)
What We Never Collect
- Your browsing history
- Personal or identifying information
- Financial or payment data (purchases handled entirely by Gumroad)
- Authentication credentials
- Location data
- Any data from pages you visit that you have not explicitly chosen to track
Permissions Explained
Used to save your tracked products, price history, and preferences locally on your device. No data is sent to any server.
Used to schedule automatic price checks every 6 hours in the background, so you don't have to manually open the extension to check for price drops.
Used to notify you when a tracked product's price drops below your chosen threshold. Notifications are only sent if you have enabled alerts for a specific product.
Required to detect product prices on any e-commerce website you visit. The extension reads price data (JSON-LD markup, meta tags, or page text) from product pages you open. No data is transmitted — all processing happens locally in your browser.
Third-Party Services
PriceFlow uses Gumroad solely for processing Pro license purchases. When you verify a license key, your key is sent to Gumroad's API to confirm it is valid. Gumroad's privacy policy governs this interaction.
We do not use any analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or crash reporting services.
Data Retention and Deletion
All data stored by PriceFlow is deleted automatically when you uninstall the extension. You can also clear all data at any time from Chrome's extension settings.
Remote Code
PriceFlow does not load or execute any remote code. All extension code is included in the package submitted to the Chrome Web Store and is subject to Google's review process.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date will be changed. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
